The Thornberry Manor series follows Paisley Venne, whose life takes an unexpected turn when her mum inherits a neglected manor house in central England.
While restoring Thornberry Manor, Paisley discovers a mysterious necklace that transports her back to 1829, where she meets fascinating ancestors and a famous author. In Thornberry Manor: The Emerald, she struggles to understand the impossible experience, questioning whether or not it could happen again.
In Thornberry Manor: The Ruby, the restoration of the manor continues, but Paisley’s time-traveling secret grows more complicated. When she’s transported again, this time to 1858, she reconnects with her adult relatives and encounters Granville Webster, the intriguing neighbor from Greystorm. However, as the ruby stone in her necklace is destroyed, Paisley wonders if this is a warning to stop her journeys through time.
With more to come in this magical series, Paisley’s adventure is far from over, as she uncovers the mysteries of the manor, her ancestry, and the true power of the enchanted necklaces.

Finlay Wood is a skilled local builder and craftsman from the market town of Keighley, near Thornberry Manor. He is known for his steady nature and talent for restoration.
A long-time employee of the Silent Inn, he also runs his own construction and maintenance business, often working with a trusted crew to bring aging properties back to life.
When Paisley arrives, his practical expertise and deep connection to the land make him an essential part of the manor’s revival. Grounded, dependable, and quietly warm, Finlay offers a sense of stability just as her world begins to change.

Paisley Venne lives with her mother in the seaside village of Bonchurch, where they run a small bookshop together, a life shaped in part by the loss of her father and the quiet routines they’ve built since.
Recently coming out of a broken engagement, she finds herself at a turning point, uncertain but open to change when a solicitor’s letter reveals that her mum has inherited Thornberry Manor from a distant relative.
Drawn by both curiosity and a deep instinct to restore what’s been forgotten, Paisley travels with her mum to the neglected estate that feels as though it’s been waiting for her all along.

Granville Webster is a charismatic and quietly dangerous neighboring landowner whose charm and sharp insight allow him to challenge social expectations with ease. With a deep, genuine laugh and a disarming presence, he moves easily through conversation while masking keen perception beneath wit and warmth.
Drawn to Paisley in a way that disrupts carefully laid plans, he becomes both an ally and a complication, his presence sparking tension wherever he goes.
Rooted in another time, Granville carries an air of mystery that suggests there is far more to him than meets the eye.

Relationships are more complicated this time around, and secrets are harder to keep.
Paisley returns to the year 1858 in Thornberry Manor: The Sapphire. Emotions run high, tensions rise, and tragedy strikes. Paisley returns to the present consumed with guilt and questioning her role in what happened, as well as the purpose and future of the mysterious necklace.
